Description
Federal Syntech Defense ammunition in .40 S&W uses a 175 gr semi jacketed hollow point with a segmented design. On impact, the bullet separates into three segments, driving a deep-penetrating core 12 to 18 inches through bare gel and heavy clothing. The petals form three secondary wound channels, each more than 6 inches deep. A polymer jacket is designed to eliminate lead and copper fouling and reduce heat and friction in the barrel.
