The terms you agree to when you buy from Redland Rifle Co. Written to be read, not to be skipped.

Who you are dealing with.

These terms govern your use of redlandrifle.com and any purchase you make from us. “We” and “us” mean Redland Rifle Co, a federally licensed firearms dealer at 4755 US-280, Birmingham, AL 35242.

Redland Rifle Co is the trading name used on this site; our registered business details are available on request.

By placing an order you agree to these terms, to our Privacy Policy, our FFL Policy, and our Shipping & Returns policy.

Eligibility.

To buy from us you must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to own the item you are buying. Federal law sets minimum ages for firearms: 18 for rifles and shotguns from a licensed dealer, 21 for handguns. Some items, including ammunition and certain accessories, carry their own age and state restrictions.

You are responsible for knowing whether an item is legal where you live. If you are unsure, ask us before you order — we would rather answer the question than cancel the sale.

Regulated products.

Firearms are never shipped to a private address. Every firearm goes to a licensed dealer for the background check and Form 4473. Placing an order does not complete a firearm sale — the sale completes at the counter, when the paperwork and the NICS check are done. Our FFL Policy sets out the whole process, including when we will refuse a transaction.

Orders and acceptance.

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we dispatch the item or, for a firearm, when the transfer completes. Until then we may decline or cancel an order, including where:

  • the item is out of stock or a distributor cannot fulfil it;
  • a price or description was wrong (see below);
  • we cannot lawfully complete the sale, or a background check is denied;
  • we suspect fraud, a straw purchase, or resale in breach of law.

If we cancel an order you have paid for, we refund it.

Pricing and errors.

Prices are in US dollars and can change without notice. We carry a large catalogue sourced from distributors, and despite our best efforts a price, specification, image, or stock status is occasionally wrong.

Where an item is listed at an obviously incorrect price, we are not obliged to sell at that price. We will contact you, offer the corrected price, and cancel and refund in full if you would rather not proceed. We will not quietly charge you more than the price you agreed.

Manufacturer photographs are illustrative. Finishes, furniture and included accessories can vary between production runs.

Payment.

We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Card payments are processed by MX Merchant; we never see or store your full card number. Payment is taken when you place your order.

Alabama customers collecting in store may also choose to pay at the counter when they pick their order up.

Shipping, returns and refunds.

Covered in full on our Shipping & Returns page, which forms part of these terms.

Accounts.

If you create an account, keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend an account being used for fraud or abuse.

Safety and your responsibility.

Firearms are dangerous by design. Once an item is in your hands, safe handling, safe storage and lawful use are yours. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions, store securely, and keep firearms away from anyone not permitted to have them. Our Responsible Ownership page is a genuine offer of help, not a disclaimer — come and talk to us about storage.

Nothing on this site is instruction in the safe use of a firearm, and nothing on it is legal advice.

Warranties.

Products carry their manufacturer’s warranty, where one exists. We are a dealer, not the manufacturer, and we do not add a warranty of our own beyond what the law requires. We will help you open a manufacturer warranty claim and point you to the right contact. To the extent the law allows, we do not accept liability for indirect or consequential loss, and nothing here limits any right you have that cannot lawfully be limited.

Limitation of liability.

Our liability to you for any order is limited to what you paid for it, except where the law does not allow that limit. Nothing in these terms removes a right you have under law, and we do not try to exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Your content and our content.

The Redland Rifle Co name, logo, site design and original copy belong to us. Product images and descriptions supplied by manufacturers and distributors belong to them. Please do not copy our content for commercial use without asking.

Governing law.

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Alabama, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of Jefferson County, Alabama. We would always rather sort a problem out by talking to you first — call us before anyone involves a lawyer.

Changes to these terms.

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here when you place your order, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.
