Hornady American Whitetail .308 Win ammunition is loaded with 165 gr InterLock Spire Point bullets, 20 rounds per box. The InterLock design uses an exposed lead tip for controlled expansion. The InterLock ring inside the bullet jacket is embedded into the core to help keep core and jacket locked together during expansion for mass and energy retention. American Whitetail is loaded to conventional velocities with premium propellants for pressure and consistency, and the loads are described as compatible with semi-automatics.
